Milwaukee River Walk
Take time to explore the Milwaukee RiverWalk, a scenic pedestrian pathway that showcases the city's vibrant urban landscape.

Established in 1993 to provide public access to the Milwaukee River, the RiverWalk is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Once fully completed, it will span 3.1 miles along both sides of the river, stretching from the former North Avenue Dam site, through Downtown and the Historic Third Ward, all the way to Lake Michigan.

This public-private partnership between riverfront property owners and the City of Milwaukee ensures permanent public access, with the city offering financial assistance for the construction of private RiverWalk improvements. As you stroll along the RiverWalk, you'll encounter a mix of high-end residential spaces, commercial establishments, and recreational venues, creating a lively pedestrian environment.

The Wisconsin State Fair, held annually at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, is a cherished tradition that began in 1851 along the Rock River in Janesville. Initially rotating among various cities, the fair found its permanent home in 1892 at its current location.

In 2025, the Wisconsin State Fair will celebrate its 174th year from July 31 to August 10. The fair attracts over one million visitors during its 11-day run, offering a diverse array of attractions, including agricultural exhibits, entertainment, and culinary delights.

The fair's mission is to honor Wisconsin's rich agricultural heritage and other key industries by providing a family-friendly, affordable, and educational event for all ages and backgrounds, fostering memories and traditions for future generations.
